I am not sure when I have seen this much snow come down in such a short amount of time. It sure is a challenge to keep the spirits up with all this gray weather!!!
Honestly at this time of the year I get pretty grumpy.

You know what keeps me going and keeps my spirits up?
Doing this PODCAST! Really!

Every time I have a conversation for Keeping it Real w/ Janean I feel uplifted. I feel more connected to humanity and the world. I always feel like I have a new friend…. even if I never get a chance to speak to them again!

My most recent conversation is with my sister, Julie Chai. She is an ordained minister and Spiritual Direction Counselor. She is also an accomplished artist and potter. I chose to talk to her about 2 very different communication styles.
She insists on counseling couples if she is going to perform their wedding vows and won’t perform the marriage otherwise. I have criticized her for not just going ahead and doing the wedding even if the couple doesn’t want to have the counseling part. After our conversation on Verbal Communicators who want to talk things out and Non Verbal Communicators who need to get away and think first, I understand why she feels it is so important.
If a couple doesn’t understand each others communication style it can create a huge rift that is totally unnecessary. And of course it doesn’t have to be couples… any relationship where 2 people or a person in a group have trouble understanding each other will benefit from this information!

I have also included links to a couple of other great episodes that you may have missed.

Please forward this email to friends and family so they might enjoy the benefits of Inspired Conversations with Ordinary People Living Extraordinary Lives!

And I think you will enjoy this Vegetarian Pie Recipe that makes it’s own crust! How Easy!
